When Empathy Meets Creativity

The Ntshulisa Foundation

Founded by Karissa Samuel

The foundation affectionately known as TNF is a collaborative effort which officially began in 2011 and grew from the “freelance” volunteer initiatives of the organisations C.E.O Karissa Samuel. The main aim of TNF is to empower the nation through children by promoting civic participation and community involvement. (The Ntshulisa Foundation.2011)
The name “Ntshulisa” means to grow and develop in the language of Xhosa. Which is exactly what the foundation is about, developing the young people and helping them grow knowledge and guiding them to achieve their career dreams by assisting them with the educational tuition fees.

I have always had a soft spot for organisations that help the youth of our country as I aim to also begin a foundation for young girls in the country starting with the townships. Through creativity good communication can be created to top companies to sponsor, creativity is not only to play with a paint brush but to also think aloud that one crazy idea that can change the lives of the youth even in the whole continent of Africa.

Starting with one poem that will motivate different thinking and even some pocket digging :
The “Green” Envelope
Green is the colour of trees
Green was never created to be final
It is the colour of the sky inked with the yellow sun
Sounds like the creation that was intentional
Be green to a child in need today
Check under your chair and maybe on your way to the bank.
Sponsor the future generation of the Ntshulisa Foundation.

Inspired by my project 3 and 4, a presentation about The Ntshulisa Foundation. Let us not forget others in the process of growing up and making that paper.
