Sauti Kutoka
“Sauti kutoka Kenya, Kiswahili (voice of Kenya, Swahili)
African South East
Seeing human habitations
Since the beginning of Lowe Paleolithic
Multi-ethnic
Cross roads of the Bantu,
Nilo-Saharan and Afro-Asiatic ethno linguistic
Should I oppress my skin colour for your acceptance
My precious gemstones melted and molded for your ungratefulness
While load shedding strikes I can provide hydropower
While you say I steal, I say let us learn and make tomorrow ours
Skill we were not born with
Zealousness avidity committedness we all possess
Murder my kid I murder yours
Teach my children I will teach yours
Feed me and I will lift you up
Brotherhood sisterhood lovable hood
We belong should we never belong
To a home that is better than my own
See beyond ethnicity

Ignore Everybody
“Ignore Everybody”
Hugh Macleod
The man who took business cards and turned it to humour with
in words and imagery. He made cartoons on the business cards and gained
popularity with the humour leading to his blog blog-gapingvoid.com. He is the
man with the opinion on every topic but his main one is on creativity.
How does one person make a good living as a creative? Nobody
suddenly discovers a person, things are made slowly and in pain. You choose to
not follow the crowd, choose to be the odd one out. The idea doesn’t have to be
big, it just has to be yours. Ignore everybody.
Freedom is
blogging in your underwear is a book about freedom that Hugh discovered
from blogging. He believes blogging is a world that everybody can discover as
it lets you be yourself. To Hugh having a blog gave him a voice a media and
completely changed his life. The reason he wrote the book is he still does not
understand why people don’t blog.
Hugh Macleod is an inspiration to me as he understands that
the pressure of life is not easy when you trying to live your life completely
as a creative. His books talk about how life should be treated differently by
ignoring everybody and finding ways to express your freedom and actually
communicating that to people.
Enjoy reading his books and check the link http://gapingvoid.com/books-by-hugh-maleod/Gapingvoid| "hugh Macleod" Cartoons drawn on the back of business cards. [online] Available at http://gapingvoid.com [Accessed 29 May 2015].

SuNNy Set Down
The heat
provided by the sun
Sets with it
beyond the hills
Beautiful sight
of warm peach oranges
As it goes quenching chill pinches my skin

Creative Journey
Journey on my Creative Bus
The venture into the new and completely unexpected life begins.
I needed to organise the ticket, pack my luggage and get ready to go. Plans were made to get on the first bus after matriculation.
Psychology, intimate connections, personality theory, personology… I am ready, I am prepared lets...Wait! Is that the marketing bus? Peoples skills, strategizing, branding, economics, analysing, management and so much more.
Not sure which bus to take. Not sure where my passions lie but I am very sure I want to be surrounded by people people and more people. I want to hear laughter’s and connect with different personalities, experience different types of thinkers and creatives on a journey. Psychology it is.
First year hardships were felt as I was getting on my feet. The second bus stop I was getting the hang of things and how I should plan my job and studies in order to afford my future bus trips. As I was standing at the bus stop so excited of reaching my third year one very attractive bus called My Future First came by and offered a ride of a lifetime, a trip to Vega School of Branding, my free trip to marketing and Branding.
So sad psychology had to be paused because the MFF bus was intense, making me think, eat, talk and sleep while running all at the same time, I’m becoming superwoman by the day more than the doctor I anticipated to be in psychology. Pushed to the right edges the bus is turning into the Ogilvy and Mather bus station, I got off with quite a number of people.
As the road keeps going I know I will experience the different personalities and the creatives on a journey that is what my life is about. Do not worry too much, I will make sure I stay on the f*%$#@ bus.
End.

The Loud inner Voice
Blaque Cherry Lips
One thing I love about my insanity is listening to the crazy voice in my head.
The voice that whispers “why not?”
The voice that says “go ahead!”
The voice that says “do not trust this sh*#”
Lips are always shut
But the mind has its own facet
With a full structure of a nose, eyes, ears and lips
Paint the lips with that sweet Blaque Cherry
Let your creativity speak, louder

Every GIRL needs to feel ALIVE.
Lying, thinking
Should I still anticipate
The thought of my soul returning
To a home where I feel heart beats
Where water is not thirsty
Where my spirit speaks
A language of laughter
Can I make it out here alive.
The voice above presses protection
The screams from beneath
Grip on harder with detention
My pride melts like lava
A traumatizing sin it is to claim
Can I make it out here alive.
The hatred that exhales through my nostrils
Can burn the fear that clots my veins
The strength undermined can throttle
The men aren’t women but their brains smaller than grain
Can I make it out here alive.
Half North Eastern, half Muslim
Half Inhumane, Half devils
Behead yourselves
Slave each other, trade one another
I say no to Sharia Law
Can I make it out here alive.
Where is the hand that holds so gently as if I were
The last raw egg in the world
Will I ever tell between a man and a monster
Can anybody define man
Am I suffocated by man,
Am I suffocated by beings that say they are not gay
Can I make it out of here alive.
My vocals have sang above and over
The cry has dropped beneath and below
Can the nation hear that I’m here
Will Goodluck defend beyond fiercely
Is heaven receiving me yet
Can I make it out here alive.
Hope pinches my chin to stay up
The hurt will end soon
Courage pumps more blood in my soul
I shan’t be intimidated
I can make it out here alive.
